What is appTaxi?
appTaxi is a smartphone app for requesting a taxiin a few simple taps, available for iOS and Android.
How much does appTaxi cost?
The use and download of the appTaxi app are totally free. Requesting ataxi using the app is free for the customer, with no extra fees going to appTaxi. There could be a supplement to the fare payable to the driver should the local administrative authorities of transport by taxi require this by law.
How can I subscribe to appTaxi?
After downloading the app, follow the instructions and insert the details requested. You wlll receive a code by sms, which you then insert in the app to verify the number you have registered. You will also receive a code via email, which you also insert in the app to verify your email address.
How can I modify my mobile phone number in appTaxi?
Every profile is created by linking to a telephone number. If you have to modify your number, you will have to create a new profile. Delete the active profile and proceed with a new registration.
How can I modify my email address in appTaxi?
If you have to modify your email address, go to your profile and click on the pencil in the email field. Type in the new address, wait for the code you will receive by email, and insert it in the app.
Which payment methods are available in appTaxi?
With appTaxi you can pay:
- by in-app payment with a registered credit card
- by Satispay, Apple Pay and the main wallets available
- by Bitcoin
- the taxi driver directly, by POS or cash
How can I remove my profile inappTaxi?
The correct process is as follows:
- cancel the link with your credit card in your account
- delete your profile in the appropriate section
- uninstall the app
- unsubscribe from the newsletter
After 30 days all your data will be deleted from our servers.
How it works
How can I call a taxi?
appTaxi finds your position and identifies your address on Google Maps. By clicking on “Call taxi”, you can configure your trip by selecting the necessary information, the type of payment and the characteristics of your taxi. When you have finished, click on “Confirm”. appTaxi will connect to the radiotaxi service and request the closest taxi to you. Once appTaxi has found your taxi, it will inform you of the waiting time in minutes.
Can I cancel a request for a taxi?
Sure! If you need to cancel a request, click on “Cancel” immediately.
Can I book a taxi in advance?
Sure! You can book a taxi up to 4 days in advance with different options and in participating cities, specifying the date and time.
How do I book a taxi in advance?
Type your starting address and click on “Call taxi”. Click on “Now” in the “Schedule” field and select the date and the time of your pick-up. Then configure your trip with the necessary information.
Where can I check my booking status?
You can check the status of your booking in the “Reservations” section of the Menu.
Can I find out the cost of my trip in advance?
Sure! With appTaxi, if you set the starting point and the destination, you get three prices calculated on the basis of different traffic levels.
Why does the price I have paid not correspond to the estimated price?
The prices you got are estimated prices calculated according to the parameters provided by third party maps, which might not consider preferential lanes or other unpredictable costs. They must therefore be considered indicative.
Can I select the features of my taxi?
Sure! With appTaxi you can usefilters to order the taxi best suited to your needs. In the “Configure your order” section, you can select the number of passengers, request the transportation of animals, arrange transport for the disabled, or choose a hybrid or electric vehicle etc.
Can I save a trip in my favourites?
Sure! Once you have configured your trip, before confirming your request, click on the blue heart in the top right of the configuration screen. This will save your trip in Favourites and you can repeat it by going to the Favourites section of the Menu when you need it.
How does in-app payment work?
To enable in-app payment, you must first register your credit card in the “Payment Management” section of appTaxi. To activate this section, first you have to type in a four digit PIN, then you can register your credit card.
How many credit cards can I register in appTaxi?
You can register several credit cards: using different aliases, you can differentiate your credit cards and insert more then one, a private one or a business one. During the check-out phase you can choose which credit card to pay the fare with.
Why have I been charged €0.50 after registering my credit card?
When you register a credit card in appTaxi we put through a authorization of €0-50 in order to check that you have inserted a valid credit card. This is just a preauthorization, and the money will be returned to your account in a few days.
Is in-app payment secure?
Can I have a digital receipt for my fare?
Sure! If you use in-app payment, once the payment is made you will receive a fare receipt via email.
Otherwise, if the payment is made directly to the taxi driver, you must request the receipt from the driver.
Can I have an invoice for my fare?
If you need an invoice for your fare, you must request it directly from the taxi driver because they are VAT number holders and only they can issue invoices.
How can I register a loyalty card?
If you have a loyalty card from one or more of appTaxi’s partner programs, enter the “Loyalty card” section of the Menu and type the card number in the appropriate section, being careful to insert it correctly. Enable the card and save the configuration.
How can I earn miles and points?
To earn miles and points you have to request and pay for the taxi ride with the app. Register a valid credit card, then register your loyalty card and enable them. For every in-app payment you will receive miles or points according to the terms and conditions of the different Partner Loyalty Programs. Visit the pages dedicated to our Partner Programs on our website.
I have not received the points I am due for my fare, what can I do?
Points can be transferred in one solution or for every fare. If you have yet to receive the points you are due one month after your trip, please contact us.
If you are waiting for your taxi and you receive a call from a private number, it could be a taxi driver who needs to contact you. We suggest you answer the telephone!
Once your taxi is confirmed, memorize the name of the taxi in order to be sure you are boarding the vehicle assigned to you.
When you call a taxi and the app finds your position by GPS, check that it is correct before confirming your request. Even GPS is wrong at times! Remember to use the Note field to insert any landmarks that may help the taxi driver to find your position easily, like bars, bookshops, crossroads etc.

How can I use the service?
Create a coupon in the appropriate section in appTaxi.When the time comes to pay the fare, share the five digit code with the taxi driver. The voucher authorizes you to not pay the fare and to charge it to your company’s account.
